Little PINK Book presented its 7th Annual Fall Empowerment Series, to advance women in business, in Atlanta and New York City on November 10 and November 17, respectively. The sold-out luncheons featured panels of prominent female business leaders discussing career advancement strategies. This year's event also featured PINK Awards honoring outstanding female business leaders who have contributed greatly to the advancement of other women, including Roz Lewis, Executive Director, Greater Women's Business Council.

Sherrie Aycock and Tara Olson, Co-CEO’s of AllPoints Research, Inc. in Winston-Salem, NC have been named the Small Business Administration’s 2011 Women in Business Champions of the Year for both North Carolina and SBA’s Southeast Region IV. These awards honor them for their commitment to the advancement of women’s business ownership. They were nominated by Barbara Kasoff, President of Women Impacting Public Policy, Inc. (WIPP) in San Francisco and Susan Solovic of Susan Solovic Media.

Bill Haley, manager of Aflac’s diversity program, has been named a “Women in Business Champion” by the U.S. Small Business Administration, the agency said Wednesday.
Haley, presented the award by Terri Denison, SBA’s Georgia district director, has been in charge of the diversity program since 2003, connecting the supplemental life and health insurer with female and minority-owned businesses.
