Successfully completing the WBENC certification
process and becoming a certified women's business enterprise (WBE) of
the GWBC is the first step to growing opportunities for your business.
To get results, it's essential to set personal objectives, form a strategy
and become involved and connected by attending events and marketing your
company to large corporations and fellow WBEs (who also need suppliers
like you).
The GWBC is committed to supporting its certified
WBEs in growing their business by coordinating and promoting networking
events, providing committee leadership roles and offering informational
business resources.

EVENT - Breakfast & Answers
Who Should Attend: Business owners or representatives of women business enterprises that are not currently certified with GWBC and want to learn more information about the organization and the certification process.
How to prepare for this
event: Come prepared with all your WBE-certification questions and
pose them during the Q&A or get some one-on-one time with current WBEs
or the Certification Manager.
Next step: After attending,
we hope you will begin the certification process and become a GWBC
member. The Breakfast & Answers Session will include the following:
- Assistance with the certification process
- Q&A with the GWBC Certification
Manager
- WBE success stories
- Includes continental breakfast

EVENT - New Member Orientation
Who Should Attend: Newly-certified WBEs (OR certified WBEs who have not attended an orientation session).
The New Member Orientation Session for GWBC members will cover the following:
- Vision, mission and goals of GWBC/WBENC
- How to use the national database
- Doing business with corporations
- Marketing your certification

EVENT- The Voice Forum Town Hall Meetings
The Voice Forum is the - think tank - of the organization--formulating and assessing additional programs that would give every GWBC certification more value. The forum consists of WBEs in every size business, every industry all over Georgia.
The Town Hall Meeting is a great opportunity to connect with other involved GWBC members, provide input into the direction of the organization and its upcoming events and to network with corporate sponsors and fellow WBEs.
EVENT - Power of Partnering Marketplace
Join us each year at the annual -Power of Partnering- Marketplace to help you take business to the next level of success. The event includes not only a business fair for networking but also business sessions and a luncheon with internationally known speakers. Plan now to exhibit at the business fair to fully take advantage of the business-building opportunities. EVENT - WAVE Golf Tournament
The WAVE (Women Adding Value Everyday) Golf Tournament is held annually at one of Metro Atlanta's private golf courses such as St. Ives Country Club in Duluth, GA.
This event is slated to provide our women business enterprises and corporate members an opportunity to network on the front and back nine (golf course).
NOT YET A TIGER WOODS OR MICHELLE WIE? Don't Worry! This tournament is designed for even the novice of players to participate in this golf scramble! EVENT - LACE Awards
The Georgia Women's Business Council cordially invites you to attend our Annual LACE (Ladies Achieving Continuous Excellence) Awards Dinner and Dance. This event will continue to exemplify the great standards for which the Council - reputation is built upon. Our attendees will experience grandeur of an entertaining evening of fine dining and special recognitions.

EVENT - WBENC's Annual National Conference and Business Fair
To be held in Atlanta in 2008!
GWBC is proud to be the host council for the WBENC - Women In Business - Conference that will be held in Atlanta June 23-26, 2008.
Over 3000 attendees consisting of major corporations and women business enterprises are expected to attend this event. As one of the 14 affiliates of WBENC, we are committed to enhancing the competitive value of women businesses in Georgia by providing certification, education and corporate partnership opportunities as well as support women-owned business development and growth.
