Recertification
To remain a certified Women's Business Enterprise of WBENC, annual recertification is required.  The recertification process should be started approximately ninety (90) days prior to the expiration date to avoid going into an expired status.  To recertify, submit a recertification application to GWBC with the required documents.  The application is now an online process.  A site visit to your business will be conducted every three (3) years as part of the recertification process.

Required Documents for Recertification:
The following documentation is required for recertification. If any of these documents are not submitted, you must include a written explanation:

  • WBENCLink 3.7 User Agreement (download now)
  • WBENC Sworn Affidavit, signed and notarized by Majority Female Owner
  • Documentation on the ownership, management or business structure of your company if there have been any changes since you were last certified or recertified (e.g. new or canceled stock certificates, etc.)
  • Most recent federal tax return and all schedules and attachments as submitted to the IRS or evidence of extension
  • Most recent financial statements (Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss Statement); financial statement should match information and dates of last tax return
  • W2's for all owners, directors or officers for the prior year
  • Most recent board of director's meeting minutes (applies to all corporations)
  • Most recent shareholders' meeting minutes or member meeting minutes (applies to all corporations)
  • Any amendments to the corporate bylaws, LLC or partnership agreement
  • Any new or updated business licenses (if applicable)
  • Resumés for new owners or officers
  • Copy of current lease agreement, if renewed since last certificate was issued
